Axminster Woodturning and Woodcarving exhibition

Since 2003 I `m competing in the Axminster woodturning and woodcarving exhibition and competition. This yearly event is taken place in Exeter, Devon, England. I'm proud to show on this page the woodturnings which won prices in various categories.

Axminster woodturning and Woodcarving exhibition and competition 2003

I joined the Tools 2003 (Axminster woodturning and woodcarving exhibition and competition) the first week of November 2003 in Exeter Devon. I brought some woodturnings with me from Holland and  I am very proud to have won Gold in the Open Category of Woodturning.

This year I joined again the Axminster woodturning competition. This year I won the special prize in the Open Category with Cloudy Sky.

In the 2005 competition I won silver in the Professional Category win the following piece.

 

 

Wizardry in Wood 2004

The Wizardry in Wood is an Exhibition and Competition organized to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Worshipful Company of Turners` Royal Charter. The Exhibition and Competition was held in Pewterers` Hall in the City of Londen. The prizes where awarded by the lord major of Londen. In this Competition I won a Recommended with the following woodturning:

AWGB Loughborough Symposium

This vase was choosen; Best in show together with 5 other pieces of attending turners. The Loughborough Symposium is a bi-annual symposium of the AWGB. Site: Loughborough2005
 
 

AAW EXHIBITIONS

The themed exhibition of 2004 was FROM SEA TO ODYSSEY . Two pieces were selected one called TORNADO and one called SUNSET OVER THE WEST ISLANDS

 

 

The themed exhibition of 2006 was STEP UP TO THE PLATE . One piece was selected the piece is called PRICE ON A SILVER PLATE.

AFTAB Symposium in Avignon, France

In October 2010 I attended the Congrès International Tournage D`art sur Bois in Villeneuve-Les-Avignon, France. The Congrès is a three-annual returning symposium with only 150 attendants from all over the world. One of my pieces was Critiqued  by the jury for:

  • Special use of Wood
  • Original title
